I know this is basic to you guys, BUT i need to buy some new wheels. I have a 2002 GAGT, and I keep hearing different things about what size I can use. SO, do I stick with factory or can I go with 17's-225-45-17 or 18's-225-40-18. I just want to know whats better, and also I'm about to make a trip from Augusta, GA to Colorado Springs. Thanks.

uhh, its all your personal preference. 18's look the best but not if you dont lower your car. look on cardomain or through members car galleries.

I have 18's with the 225's and I'm happy. The 235's are probably better but they will cost you more if you want the same quality tire. Wheel packages always have the best prices for the 225's because they are so popular.

I think that 18s look fine on a car that isnt lowered as long as you plan to lower it in the future. Here is mine on 235/40/18s.http://img179.imageshack.us/img179/5816/dsc00432go8.jpg

It was a dark day so it looks darker then it is. Its 35% on the front and 5% on the backs.

You caught a nice angle on that.

Anyways, yeah 225-40-18 and happy.

no offense but i disagree, way too much wheel gap; itll look great after dropped though.

IMO, no 18's until your dropped or onless your going to drop very soon.

Yeah going to have to agree....it will look real nice after you lower it. I have 18's with an eibach kit and occasionally at certain angles I still feel theres too much gap. But I prefer having a smooth ride over the slammed look.

Yea itll be dropped soon but the SC goes in first. lol

Anyway the performance aspect of the new tires far out weighs the cons of the look.

I love the ride of Eibachs, they are stiff and have great road manners. I think that the gap looks worse with aftermarket wheels. If you get rims, defenitly get it lowered. :)

Yes those are the Pro-Kit that pfyc.com offers. However I have had lots of people tell me that my Eibachs make the car look lower than other Eibach drops.

Oh yea, to keep the thread on top I am running a 245/40/18 tire. 245 is really wide and fills the wheel wells out nicely. However they do raise the car up a 1/2" and throw the speedometer off by ~3% So if it says you are doing 60mph its really about 62mph. But truthfully I got that large of a tire because I scraped the nose of the car quite a bit and by adding the SC/T lip it was only going to get worse, so I improvised.
