Fire Marty Shottenheimer? After a 14-2 record? First the team lets go of Drew Brees for jack-off Phillip Rivers, now they fire their coach after a 14-2 record...
Whats their next move... let LT walk?

Being a Chargers fan and as much as it does suck you've got to look at it from an owners standpoint. Marty has always been a winning coach and has ALWAYS had a great team. Can you remember the last time they've gone to the big game?

I'd still probably take Lovie Smith over Marty Shottenheimer.
I dunno You look at the pattern. The Steelers went 15-1, lost in the AFC championship, came back and won the title the following year.
The Colts went 14-2 and were one and done, then came back the following year and won the title
I'm not taking anything away from the Chargers... Even though I don't believe in Phillip Rivers, when you got LT you don't need an awesome quarterback. And their defense is nearly unstopable... I mean they made Indy's Offensive line look like it was made out of paper when they ended the Colts undefeated streak in '05. The way I see it, they just got outcoached by Bellicheck. I think the Chargers have the weapons to be a dominate team for a long time, but things definilty need to start staying more consistant!

So anyway now the Chargers have a whole staff to replace... early prediction: The bronchos win that division, San Diego doesn't make the playoffs.
The GM is a Jackass. He proved that too me when he let go of Drew Brees.

Lets not get ridiculous now.
Sure firing him was a bit overboard but if you cant win, theres a reason. And it wasnt the players the last 2 years. LT been great, gates, the receivers ect...
