When calibrating your subs....On my car you have bass settings on the headunit and the db level for the subs. And on the amp you have the bass boost and Input Sensitivity. This is where I get confused. Where should I start on where to put all the settings. For example i usually leave everything at 0. And Ill fiddle around with the Input Sensitivity and bass boost. Well lets say you had everything at around 5 and then maybe you had your bass boost up higher than you did before and then adjusted your input sensitivity which would obviously be lower than before. I guess my question is where would you want everything set to achieve the best and loudest possible bass.

*Audiobahn Amp (running at 800watts at 2ohms)
*Line Driver (6 volt increase)
*High end Sony headunit (5 volt preout)

well, what i do is set everything to zero. first i adjust the gain to get a level of volume that matchs the rest of the music. meaning that you cant just hear bass, or you cant just hear everything else. i bring everything down to 1 level. then i adjust the freq. i like to have mine about to the point where i dont get a lot of bass guitar. i leave that for my fronts. next is the bass boost. if i want a little more punch out of the subs i adjust it, but not too much. thats pretty much how i adjust it. i dont know if its the "right way" or if there even is a right way, but thats what works for me. and it usually takes me about 30 mins to get it just right.

The gain must match the voltage of your h.u.'s pre-amp outputs. Here's the general rule: If you have a 4v out, put a one over that, making it 1/4. Hence you would turn your gain up 1/4. If it has 2v out, turn your gain 1/2 way.
