I'm new to the Forum. I'm from Grand Ledge, Michigan. I am the owner/ operator of Team Dangerous Racing Development. We do all kinds of crazy stuff from 9sec Camaros to Trophy trucks and Rally cars, Superbikes and Snowmobiles. We work on pretty much anything that has a motor and can go fast enough to kill you. My current ride is a 97 GA GT. It only has a couple of mods on it but I've got more planned for the future. I've had two other Grand Ams but they fell victim to crashes and blown up engines, and yes you can have too much horsepower. I also have a Bachelors degree in Automotive Engineering, so I can answer most all technical questions no matter what the subject. I'm pretty experienced in all automotive fields but I specialize in high performance engines, EFI tuning and engine machining, blueprinting, and balancing. So if you've got any questions, don't hesitate to ask. I'm glad to be a part of this forum and I hope I can help many of you, and I hope to learn some things from everyone as well.

I find it ironic that you have all these fast, beautiful and dangerous vehicles at your disposal, but your car of choice is a Grand Ma... but thats just what I do- find inconvenient and otherwise useless ironies in life.

Welcome!

Well, my life is plagued by student loan bills and other costs of living. Plus TDRD doesn't really see enough business for me to make a living off of, so I have to hold a real job during the day. We're a very small operation that works out of my shop behind my house and a friends fab shop. We do not handle a large volume of projects by any means. I did just dirtbikes and snowmobiles for a long time, then I branched out and started doing fabrication work and building motors for people who wanted a real bad ass motor that blow everyone else out of the water. We are hoping to get our SCCA road race team going soon. We don't have an official website, but we do have a myspace page of some videos we made of us smashing up some cars and stuff. http://www.myspace.com/teamdangerousracing

You do realize that you can buy spring compressors at autozone for $35.

PS- Welcome

Yeah we were doing that at about 1am and so there was no Autozone open nearby (There is a 24hr but its like 30min away) I had broken my spring compressor trying to compress springs on a Tacoma pre-runner, huge springs on those things. So we said screw it lets get it done. Worked out pretty good I might add.

Die/lose a limb or wait to go buy some spring compressors? I think I would just wait...

It was just a tiny little spring off of an escort. I've seen first hand what they can do, but this one didn't have enough life left in it to do much harm.

I thought it was kind of ironic and funny that below the picture there was a site sponsor link to a "stupidity quiz"
