Weird sound in reverse

For the past few days everytime I put my car in reverse, it makes a weird sound, Like... not a hi pitched sound like a bad belt. Just the engine makes a higher pitched noise then when in drive or any other gear. Any ideas?

Noone has an idea? mom's friend says a car he had made the same noise as mine and then the tranny went out few weeks later.
