1. Open Trunk.
2. Find two black straps on the rear deck.
3. Pull straps til you hear a click.
4. Push seats forward.

I've been wanting to put a split rear seat in my SE. Do I need something for the seat to latch onto or is there something built into the rear deck?

Ehhh I think its a little more then that Jim. Go check out someones split seat and look at it. I think you might have to have the full rear seat actually because of the way the tops fold.

I planning on replacing all four seats. I have a cloth covered, solid rear seat now.

I don't know if I have to get something for the split rear seat back to latch onto or if it's already built in to the rear speaker deck. Does the rear seat come with the straps? What are the straps attached to?

they are brackets that are attached to the rear support and the hinges are offset just like the seats appear, the pivots are on the seats and the brackets are in the middle and on both ends. then the pull straps go from the strikers to a rec port in the bottom of the back dash under the carpet...i can take pics and get you actual pns if you want

Well the straps are actually in the trunk attached to the rear deck IIRC.

yesw but they go through the deck, i know i removed them when i did project slim fast to see if weight reduction helped at our track or not...i would def not recommend that at all, alot of broken plastic for about .1 or so off my times

HAHAHA thats too funny. Any time I take something apart in the GA it feels like Im breaking something.

well i think 2 well carpeted bodies would do nicely...and as for the women...thats why they invented The you can get back in touch with your caveman

also an easy way to wire or get to your amps when u invariably screw them to the seats and set the box in front of them

and also so the trunk blows down on your back when u try to open the seats
