I don't believe there is such a thing as a 4T80 transmission.

interesting. i wonder if the different gearing would change your 1/4 mile time at all. sounds like a beefier transmission too.

the beefiest gm made, the ratio is totally higher starting 1st off at 2.94 i believe

do you have all the vehicle reports on it? i wonder who did that. maybe a dealership screw up? though i assume it did take some fabricating to make work.

it says 4t80e on it. i did some research on it. they come from caddy eldorodos. bolts right in and is the meanest gm made tranny.

not to mention the PCM needing recalibrated for all the differences.

well no u cant fit the 4t80 in the grand am, it is way bigger, and will not just drop right in. also the 4t80 trans will not say 4t80 on it. also it is so different from the 4t45 that there would not be a way to calibrate a stock pcm for it. and the clutch is also a silicon coupler, not a friction disc. there is really no feasible way i can think of to make the 4t80 work in a GA...im not even sure it would have the same bolt pattern
