View Full Version : Driver side window not working

My driver side window no longer works. All my other windows go up and down fine. Anyone know what part I need to replace? I'm guessing it's an actuator or something like that.

Lol, surprised a mod hasnt yelled at you yet. :) The window regualtors are like the most common problem on a GA. You'll need a new window regulator+motor most likely. look on ebay, they are very cheap now-a-days. If the peice that is molded to the window broke, you have to go to a glass place to have them put a new peice on, and if this is the case, get a metal peice, not plastic, will just break very easily again.

My sincere apologies. Was looking up the wrong keywords. Lucky for me the moderators are probably out drinking this Saturday evening.

Anyone know of a good guide to get the work done to replace the window regulator/motor? Looking for the pics or a pictured guide to Here's the part I ordered.

Umm, it shouldnt be to hard, its just a couple bolts, then the window bolts onto a peice in the front of the window, then in the rear of the window at the bottom, then u plug in the plug thing to the window motor, sorry if thats bad instructions haha. Just take apart your door panel it isnt to hard to figure out.

*ahem* --- "plug in the plug thing" ???

LOL. Just kidding. Wanted to be safe than sorry. I expect the delivery folks will have the part in by next week. I'll wait for other responses 'til then. Thanks for your thoughts on this.

LOL. Sorry, its kinda hard to explain, if your feeling unsure about doing it yourself without pics I'm sure a local glass place will do it for you for cheap, it takes like.... 15 minutes.
