So yesterday I was changing the plugs on my 3100 and noticed that the PCV valve pipe had touched the EGR valve and apparently melted...

The pipe in question runs from the PCV to a little nub on the top of the Intake manifold, then back down behind the engine to the Evap Canister Purge Valve.

Would this have caused any problems running this like that for a couple of months?

I did a quick fix by redoing the pipe with some foil tape and some other plastic piping.

Does the dealer sell this part?

I would suggest changing the oil sooner, than later.

A non-functioning PVC valve/line, will kill the oil faster.
You don't get the gasoline fumes & such out of the motor oil.
Causing it to break down earlier, & possibly sludging up.

Yeah I figured I'd change the oil abit sooner. Though the oil that's currently in her is the Valvoline MaxLife Synthetic which apparently has a pretty decent add pack.

I guess I'll hit up the dealer on Monday, thanks.
