Is it a design that all GM have these elongated holes for jacking pucks?

I know Corvettes have these holes, the CTS has these holes and my Grand Am also has these holes.

So is this a design that GM has put on all their cars to indicate jacking position?

I know GM has those holes for shipping. Only on the corvette are techs instructed to use those pucks to lift a vette. And that's only because the suitable places to lift a vette have painted surfaces -right there-.

Where'd you find those anyways? Are they sold as a kit? Because I want some.. They look a little too thick though.

So these points are alright for jacking, with or without the pucks?

Yeah. Too thcik and too costly to be bothered.

Yes those points are good to lift because they're in the metal frame of the car.

well GM also already has the places they want lifted by the stock jacks marked on the lip that runs the length of the body from wheel well to wheel well with the spot where the seam isnt rolled

Yeah, but those aren't suitable positions to jack using a trolley jack..

The jack head for my 84 wagon fits right into the holes. It's the best car jack i ever used.
