Wow i LOVE this stuff!!! I really dont have the words for it, just WOW. I thought you guys might wanna see. So hard to capture on camera the true look.

My process:

Wash
no need to clay
skipped drying
PC 7424
Edge 2000 blue pad
Megs #82
Jeffswerkstatt Prime Acrylic
Acrylic Jett

I will be putting on another 3 coats of AJ within the week since its still on *storage insurance* and cant be driven, so i basicly have nothing better to do this week when i get outta work . This however is 1 coat of AJ.

No befores, the paint was already in great shape since i just polished it out last fall and it sat in the garage all winter without being so much as touched.

Looks great, but:
1. Is your A pillar with the guages coming off? It looks like you can see behind it or something in those pics
2. you have dirty front wheel wells lol
3. Get an SC/T spoiler! It would look hot, I think

Just my .03cents, but still excellent red paint.

That is very impressive. Your paint looks a mile deep. You can tell its an acrylic. It just has that hard gloss to it.

Yup PC. I did use my rotary on my hood in some spots. My hood didnt like it very much but thats a story for another thread.

1. Yes, it came that way, has a little bend in it exposing the inside of the pillar. Im gonna devise a way to fix it just havent had time.

2. The car is 9 years old, thats about as nice as the wheel wells are gonna get lol

3. The modding on this car is done. Now if i find an SCT spoiler for a great price i will buy it in a heart beat.

Im really starting to like the acrylic look. Some dont like it becuase it gives the paint the appearance of looking like it is wrapped in plastic.

Looks wise they are about the same, even chemical make-up they are ~90% identical. A trained autopian eye wouldnt be able to tell the difference between JW and the klasse twins. The difference however is JW is so much easier to use than klasse. JW just melts right into the paint and even if you use to much on accident it is still a breese to remove. KSG on the other hand if you use to much you have to work you arse off to remove it.

Why am I not surprised that the pic that shows the reflection of your detailing products is your favorite?

Hahaha that was just coincidence. Since it was raining out i was forced to take pics in the garage.

I dont have any favorites really. Every detailing product has its place in different situations.

so does this stuff get done after polishing? If your car;s paint wasnt in good shape to start, you would do the 3 stage polish, and then use this stuff?

anyway your car looks great, i still cant get mine to look that perfect under 1000w of lights.

Yeah it is really meant to be used on near perfect paint. You would definately wanna get out as many defects as possible before using this stuff.

Me too, i have some problem areas that cant be fixed.
My spoiler is toasted, my instincts are telling me ive taken off as much clear coat as i possibly can without striking through or weakening it past what is safe. As soon as i get it out of storage im takin it to my body shop and having them read the paint thickness for me to see if my instincts are right or maybe be lucky enough to have more to play with.
My hood, this part sucks. The clear coat is soooooo soft that i cannot get it to finish micro-maring free. No matter what i do it just wont play nice with me. This i will figure out.
The front facia, that thing is blasted, only a repaint will fix it that.

A non autopian eye would never notice that stuff though lol

all the areas i do i still get very slight marring, its hard to see but i know it there, and that bothers me lol. How many times have you polished your spoiler to be worried about that, i though polishing can be done a great number of times before that happens.

whats the price on this stuff. And what ever they call their base-coat or whatever, is that you used the pc to put that on too? Im guessing the next few stages just wipe off after you spray on?

Oh man, ive tried the most aggresive combo's that are possible, just short of wetsanding.

7" sonus DAS orange light cutting pad with megs #83 about 40 times-PC
4" LC heavy cutting pad with megs #84 and #85 about 20 times-PC
6" edge yellow heavy cutting pad with megs #84 and #85 about 20 times-PC
Rotary with 6" edge yellow heavy cutting pad at 1500rpm with megs #84 and #85 about 10 times
Rotary with 8" wool pad at 2400rpm just 1 time

Ive spent a good 5 hours on just my spoiler.

I apply and remove all my LSP's by hand. Just a personal prefferance.

~$20 apiece. You will want both Prime and AJ or AJT.
Prime has a few different formulations: Prime, Prime Strong and Prime Acrylic. I went with Prime Acrylic, it has more acrylic sealant in it than cleaning ability. Any of the Primes will work though for your base coat. Its purpose is to clean the paint of any polishing oils left behind and put down a light layer of sealant so that the AJ or AJT has something to bond to. They go hand in hand, you cant do one without the other. Well you could, but it wouldnt come out lookin at its full potential.

Acrylic Jett and Acrylic Jett Triger are the same formulas, somewhat. They have the same protection, shine, depth, slickness and clarity. What one you choose is personal prefferance on how you like to apply it. Im not a fan of spray sealants so i chose AJ.

Werkstatt also makes a Prime Carnuaba and Carnuaba Jett. Thats pretty self explanatory.

That's a great offer, I'd love to come up someday just to help and learn, heck I'd even help do other cars just for the learning experience.
