Any core charges or will you be sending a brand "new" unit after it has been modified on your end?
And we'd still need a case learn correct?

there are no core charges as the cost of the new/used PCM is included in the cost.
Yes we advise having a CASE learn done after the installation of your new PCM... no matter where you get one from...

Thanks for the info. Definitely on my to-do list if I don't get rid of the GA anytime soon.
End date for the GB?

Thanks for the info. Definitely on my to-do list if I don't get rid of the GA anytime soon.
End date for the GB?
the GB end date will be determined by the initial 2-5 people we get as once there are at least 2 who want in there will be one week wait for additional people to join... after that week wait the people who paid their good faith deposit will be left to decide how much longer we wait for others to join.. majority vote wins
voting will be done @ www.mpracing.org/forum in a thread that has yet to be made....

I am not sure what you mean by "if you can tell me any more info i'll start off.."
but if you mean that you are willing to be in on the group buy then please check the following link for the info I require and where to send such
info about these PCM's can be found at the following link http://www.mpracing.org/store/index.php?act=viewProd&productId=92
if you want the GB discount DO NOT place your order via our store.. instead send $25 (good faith deposit) to mprstore@mpracing.org... follow all other directions on the store page and put "MPR PCM GB" in the subject of the email containing the info required... after that your name will be put on the list along with any others who have made their deposits and we will go from there

cold air intake with 65mm tbody and ported uim
22lb injectors with the 55psi fuel pressure.
180 tstat
im currently using 93
although id like to see how many people come forward for this.
another question is this tune locked down in the pcm or can i come back with dhp at a later date and tune it myself once i get more modding doen.

well that depends on how many I have to do and how quickly I can get PCM's that match each service # of each PCM I need to tune.. also depends on how quickly each persons payment clears and how long those who pay their deposits are willing to hold out in hopes of getting more people in to get a better deal inthe end... typical turn around is 1-10 days but since I should have all of everyones info prior to recieving final payments I would think that it should be no longer than 5 days after payment has cleared...
if you only meant how long will shipping take.. that is up to USPS or UPS depending on how each person wishes to have theirs sent...

you are correct I did say this but I was also asked by many to give a deadline and no one spoke up as to when I asked on the 1st how long you 2 were willing to wait... the only person to speak up in 2 days was sik so i took it as a sign that you either did not care or agreed with him... I am sorry for this...
So I will now do this... if you havent already paid your deposit and want in on this GB and REALLY need until the 11th email me at pcmtuning@mpracing.org and if I receive 2 requests before the 7th I will extend the deadline to the 11th...
I hope this helps...

My mistake I didn't realize you were asking us to decide then, I figured we would be emailed and asked to decide at a later date. I also emailed you and said I was in no rush a while ago after I was the only one to send in a deposit and nobody was responding and was more than willing to wait so some more people could come forward, if the deadline is May 7th that's fine I didn't realize there was a rush?

Info sent. Do you think you can do a how with pics on how to remove the PCM and whatnot?
Yes I'm an idiot and it took me like 20 minutes to find the serv. no. I couldn't figure out how to slide the damn thing out- then I realized, "Oh..I wonder what this plastic lever does if I slide it out of the way?'
Duh.
In the instructions in the link earlier it said to loosen a bolt. I didn't see a bolt nor did I have to loosen anything to slide the PCM out far enough to see the serv. no. Am I missing something? For me it was as simple as pushing a lever outward.

Also, what does the ES Kit v1.2 entail? I was reading up on DHP's tuned PCM and was wondering if your tune was about the same.
FEATURES:
Speed limiter removed
3-1 and 4-2 skip shifts
Transmission line pressure increased
Shift points moved (5800-6000rpms)
Fan turn on points altered as follows:
186 degree F Turn On
Fuel/spark adjustments as follows:
Enrichens fuel delivery for critical problem areas
Provides a consistent power gain across the entire power band
Reduces spark retard (knock retard)

Sorry about that... a How-to will be provided with all PCMs...
as for having to loosen a bolt.. that has to do with when you actually try to pull the wire connectors as they are bolted to the PCM....
Also, what does the ES Kit v1.2 entail? I was reading up on DHP's tuned PCM and was wondering if your tune was about the same.
ES Kit stands for "electronic shift kit"... the version # corresponds to the version of settings implemented... v1.2 is standard and all newer versions are specific to set driving types/mods/vehicles... we do not sell Boxed PCMs and so there is no way to receive this service alone unless you are local or are willing to bring your vehicle to us...
DHP sells a boxed PCM that requires you to have certain mods prior to the install of their PCM and ours are custom to the vehicle in question...
one thing that we for sure do not feature on our PCMs is "skip-shifts"... fact is we dont quite know how DHP does it and frankly dont care to know as I dont think that our transmissions (in stock form) can handle the abuse dished out by "skip-shifts"
SikMindz

Ok..but are the features such as skip shifting, trans press. increase, higher shift points and fuel/spark adjustments included or could they be?
fuel and spark tables are changed based on mods or lack thereof... shift points are adjusted to take advantage of mods and powerband of the vehicle... as part of the ES-kit service that is included with all PCMs the line pressure is increased as well as comanded shift time decreased and quite a few other things...

you know i might do this and then we can follow up later since i live close enough if i feel like getting some of it tweaked..but i do have a question.
i have a Pro-M Maf installed right now, would you be able to tune for this or do you think it would be better if I just waited and we did this in person so you can see how the Pro-M Maf affects the tune and car?

I have modded 3 PCMs so far that were installed on cars with Pro-M's and 2 of owners (for whatever reasons) did not tell me that they were installed.. based on scanning there was not enough of a diff to warrant any changes being made to the PCM to compensate for its installation...
...you would just be better off leaving a stock MAF AND Screen in place as there is no way that 99% of the N/A cars are outflowing their MAfs and the screen actually allows the sensor to give more consistent and accurate readings to the PCM resulting in more consistent power and a safer motor...
AJ- as for tuning your car.. I woud just wait till we meet up so I can just dial it in as I always start from stock anyways so all changes made would be tossed and then I would dial in the car based on it current condition and mods...

I don't have a stock MAF. Boo. Think I'll be ok?

deadline for deposits is now set for 12:01am Monday May 7th
... at one point we requested those who needed more time to contact us via email and if we received 2 or more requests we would extend the wait... we received no requests at all so this GB is officially over....
those who have paid their deposits must pay the remaining cost ($65) ASAP as well as providing me with your car/PCM info so that I may get to work on such.. the sooner you send in your final payments and provide me with the required info the sooner you will receive your PCM...
