The other night i was driving home from work and a truck was infront of me,and then a brick fell off the truck and i ran over it.....so yea it first hit my frame and then apparently hit the front of the engine block..Is this something to worry about?

best answer for youis to keep an eye on it check for leaks every once and a while. as long as there is not a hole u hould be ok.

Yea it just looks like it took a good chunk out of the oil pan and just keep an eye on it. If it develops a droplet on it it is probably leaking.

It really doesn tlook like it took a chunk out. It just looks like it pushed it back...kinda forced the metal to shape back, its less than a 1/4 inch in and its on a lip

Id check the seal areas on the block if you can then. If it pushed it back it might of broke a few bolts or even worse broke an engine mount or something else.

the brink was like 4x4...i dont think it did that. Rather than knocking a chunk out.it just kinda smushed the metal, kinda like on a lead hammer, absorbs it,thats what it looks like

Like they said, keep an eye on it just in case.... but if it just pushed the metal in and because of its location, it shouldn't be a problem.

I was just double checkiing, the location is just a lip,and its like a square void...i didnt know if oil would leak that far up
What were you doing tailgating a truck with a load of bricks on it, in the first place? :p
It looks like it should be alright.
Just a little dent, just make sure it doesn't turn in to a leak :]
Seal seal seal.

haha i wasnt tailgating....the damn thing bounced in my lane. I dont think it will leak. I was just being over cautious and decided to bring it in here

Did you get the trucks tags+company? If it turns into a problem, it could be very expensive to fix, and you'd want the responsible party taking care of it.

No i didnt. I work at fed ex,and get off work at like 330am,and it was some old chach...i really dont think it will be a problem bc like i stated before,it looks like a lead hammer type deal
