ok my car has never thrown a code like this b4. first time. so the whole day my car is fine. later on i stop to pick up some food. i come back and turn the car on and the check engine soon light comes on. now my car is running fine and it just came on. now i did a search and people said to remove the nagative battery terminal for 45 min to an hr, but....my question is...seeing the dealership is booked till next week, should i remove the negative plug and leave it off for a while, and if the code doesnt come back on then dont worry about it, or should i still take off the negative plug, and if comes back on then call the dealership. i dont know if i trust those autozone people screwing with my car.

so if i remove the negative cable, and it doesnt come back on, am i fine, or should i still bring it in.

also i should mention, the stupid dealer guy forgot to reset my oil light code and i had to reset it myself. right now im 200 miles over my oil change. do u think it could be that i need oil and this is coming up because the oil light wont come up cause i reset it and it hasnt been long enough for the comp to realize it??

i would just take it to autozone. it should take less than 2 min. all they do is bring that scanner out, plug it in, and then hit a button then they can tell you what set it off. Of course, they can clear it right there too. I am pretty good friends with my local monro but they cleared one of of mine before there too.

I personally just like to know what set it off b/c I usually caused it from messin around with something. :D

i just got back from the dealership. along with a oil change, it took about an hr and a 1/2. they said it was a compression solenoid valve or something like that they had to replace. it had something to do with emissions. ahhh well. its fixed.
