I just purchased the B&M shift plus for my 2001 GAGT and I tried to install it but I dont know WTF I did with the directions. I all I have is the shiftplus+ black module and some wire clips. Can anybody help me with the pcm/ecm wire tap. I don't know what wires tap into the tranny. Any help or sugestions. Also does it work any better than the Jet module as far as shift improvements or should i just trash the B&M shiftkit ( the dang thing was only $40) Any suggestions or help would be great.

You should have install instructions in the box. The wires are located under the drivers side steering wheel, near the top left corner of the brake pedal. Remove the little liner piece there and you will see a small role of wires. Unwrap them and you will find the wires.

Word of advice.... CONCENTRATE on the wires. There are ALOT of them that look the same.

When you have the kit installed... Turn it to 1, turn on the car and go for a test ride... if its working.. YOU WILL know it:thumbs:

This is the ONLY thread on the new board on the B&M Shift kit. I was asking for your experience with it....:tool:

I think its sweet I have been running it for close to a year now on setting 2 all the time. And it works even better with Nitrous :) no tranny problems at all. It firms up your shifts

I found it easier to take the wiring housing out. It's only two bolts holding in a huge plug basically. I can't remember the two wires but I know that there are two light blue wires. I think the other one is red. Doulbe check that though. Anyway....use the wires that are closest to the fire wall to attach the kit to.

oh, one more thing. If I leave the kit on and turn the car off, my SES light comes on. If that's annoying to you....make sure you turn it off before you start your car.

I turn it to 1 and then turn it off so that way I don't forget. It still stays in the car computers memory that it is in stage one even though the switch is off. You also have to shut the car off and restart it to reset it to normal driving mode

Just get a tuned pcm from mpracing.

i actually have one and was just wondering if it would firm things up a bit more, nothing ruins a wet dream more than a soft shift

I would not suggest installing something like this if you already have a tuned pcm.

I dont know much about this shift kit thing but I do know that tuning the pcm is by far the BEST option for tuning your car.

Yeah, there is another product running around to firm up your shifts.... don't use it. Just get the PCM tuned, or build the tranny.

PS- if you get motor/trans mounts, you'll firm it up a bit too.
