wax on rubber around sunroof

i seriously seached this so if theres already 1 million threads on this dont yell just send them too me,

i was wondering what will remove wax off the rubber that goes around the sunroof, ive tried several things and it did nothing

I am not sure if IPA/H2O mix is safe to use on rubber. If so, I would imagine that would work (50/50 mix).

the IPA/H20 mix should work just fine, if you're too worried about the rubber you can follow up with a little tire shine on the rubber..

IPA/DI water would remove it, just remember it removes wax so if it gets on a panel it will remove anything you have on there. WD40 is also another option.

I ussually use a Q tip and spray either one of those things directly on the Q tip so that it dosent get anywhere on surounding panels. You can also put your finger in a towel and spray your finger.

Nobody can see the sunroof rubber unless they're 8 foot tall or on stilts, so I don't bother with getting the wax off the rubber :s
I just make sure the wax won't harm the rubber =)
Or don't get any on it to begin with.

Except when the roof is open... then they can see it a bit i guess.

yeah thanks, i tried rubbing alcohol and it didnt work and after about 30 minutes of trying it still didnt want to come out so we will see, and next time ill tape it off when i wax

Meguiars has a gold glass trim detailer that removes wax.

You may need a toothbrush to clean it out since I'm asuming it's porous.
