On Thursday May3 i finally tinted the windows in my ride. Ever since i picked it up on Friday its been raining so sorry my pics aren't real good. I'll post better ones when my car is clean and its nice out for pictures to be taken.
Anyway i put 30% on the back 3 windows, 50% on the drivers windows to keep it legal in North Dakota, and i put a 15% visor on the top of the front windshield. It stopped raining for a little while this afternoon so i took these pics quick before it started raining again. I had to show it off a little LOL.

Honestly, I can't tell much of a difference, but it does look good. And if it was me in ND I would have put my money towards something other than tint if you can only have it that dark.

Damn 50%'s light. I kinda like the 'gray' look to it though.

i see a HUGE difference, and it looks fine. really, anything darker than 20% is stupid imo, i know his is 30% at the darkest on the windows (visor aside) but really..super dark tint=unsafe to driver and others.
anyways, looks good man..im gonna be doin some 30% soon as well, but i'll get mine in the front as well.

I can't remember right off hand where I saw the tint, but a store had the choices between charcoal, black, limo black, and mirror. So maybe it's the kind of tint they used. *shrugs*

could be, there are tons of different types out there.

I think that charcoal tint looks good on a red car. I think it would look good on a silver or gray...not so good on a black car.

OT: Some clear corner headlights would set it off IMO.
That's a nice place to take pictures.

Looks nice, and in a showy location. I'll bet that it'll make the inside a tad cooler during the summer months as well.
Been pondering having mine tinted as well- mine's a 2k SE, but the same color as yours.

i have limo tint all around and it doesn't affect my vision at all so i don't see how it is unsafe to the driver and other drivers?

Same here, I can see out of it perfect even at night.

Shut up
I think the only time tint is unsafe is when it is on the driver and passenger windows, and when its darker then 50% on those 2 windows. Anything else IMO is fine. My moms friend has 5% all the way around and hit a curb cuz he couldnt tell how close he was to it while looking out the driverside window..

this is the case of being an idiot not being unsafe

yeah i had 15% all the way around and never had a problem, he was probably drunk ...... or wasnt being careful, also if you cant see through it at night roll the windows down or take the tint off, some people have trouble seeing out at night time and some dont, i dont have any trouble but my bros one friend drove his car and hated it and complained saying he couldnt see out

Hey Thanks for the comments guys. I am trying to keep it as close to legal as possible. The State patrol around here love to ticket guys with tint to dark. My old car i had 20% on and got a ticked in less than a month of having it on. Legal is only 50% here so i should be alright from getting hassled from them now. 50% is still better then stock in my opinion.
I do have to agree with tint being to dark is unsafe. I had 5% on one of my rides a few years ago and i liked how the car looked, but i had a lot of trouble seeing out when i was trying to back up at night with no lights around to light up the area. I never hit anything cause i didn't want to reck my stuff and i do drive carefull, but still it was a pain to back up into tight places when it was pitch black out. Thats another reason i didn't go darker then 30% on the back 3 windows.
But everyone has there own opinions on how a car should look, and thats a good thing. If everyone thought the same thing it would be boring for everyone haveing the same car. :-)

like everyone else said it does look nice on the red car.
i can't really see the differance between the 30 and 50 myself but i know there are people out there that can so ok
i have 20all around on mine and can see just fine i have not hit a thing since i got it in 04. but like someone said some people can see and others can't my wife does not like driving it because she can't see out of it but i have no problem.

Dude, The ralph is a great spot for pics. I go to UND too. I might have to copy you and go snap some pics down there soon. I got a few down by the red river last week while it was nice out. Tint looks good by the way.

Niiiice. I love black wheels on red cars. :icyhot:
The tint looks great. Sometime this summer I'm getting mine re-done. It has officially aged enough to where it's purple. ;crap

But about 40% of everyone's car on this forum looks the same...white with black rims, red with black rims, black with black rims.
How can someone be different when they are the same as everyone else? Do something to set yourself apart from everyone. Just like my car, everyone says it's TOO white, I like it, it's different, and so far I haven't seen anyone with one like it. At least not around here.
White car with chrome ftw!!! :D

When it comes rims there's really basically 3 color choices..chrome, silver, or black. I don't think theres a way to be 'different' with the color since tons of people have chrome, tons of people have silver, and so on..
Personally, I love the black wheels and don't think they'll ever get old to me no matter how many people are rockin' them. They make the car look meaner IMO which I like a lot.

There's an Accord by me..white with white/chrome lip rims. It looks real good actually.
Bah sorry for getting off topic.
White on White looks pretty good. I think Red with white rims looks good to. But ever since I saw GtGodess's GT, Inspired me to keep my chrome for my new Gt.

X2, also the blacked headlights with clear corners help to add to the agressive or "mean" look of the GT, i love the black rims with the chrome lips!
