I tried for some before shots but even dirty, nasty and horrid chrome showed up lookin great in the pics regardless lol I got some *during* shots though. he wanted an all out detail for the up coming blessing of the bikes.
Wash- megs gold class, foam gun, various body brushes
White walls- Bleche White, almost a whole bottle, tire brush, they are permanently stain yellow though.
Clay- Clay Magic blue
Chrome- Never Dull and Wenol blue
Paint- PC, 4" LC polishing pad, megs #80
Wax/sealant- megs #26, i should have went with a sealant, #26 really muted the flake.

98 F-150
This truck was a revisit. I polished it out last fall. It looked like i didnt even do anything lol But hey its a farm truck. He wanted a full out paint correction, interior and engine bay becuase he is going to give this truck to his wife. The only problem was he didnt have all the time required for such a job so i could only do a paint correction on the front to the extended cab. Next weekend im finishing the wheels, tires and wheel wells, the bed and doing the interior, what till you see this interior, its BAD news.
Wash- 2 bucket, foam gun, megs gold class
Clay- Clay Magic blue
Paint- Makitta rotary, edge2K blue pads
Optimum Compound- 600rpm-2000rpm-600
Optimum Polish- 600rpm-1000rpm-600
wax/sealant-Megs #26

99 1500 Dodge Ram
This was a joy right here. The owner was concerned becuase everytime he waxed his truck the paint felt realy gritty and there was *rust specks* (rail dust). I explained to him i could fix that and remove all the swirl marks and imperfections from his paint. Since this was his DD he didnt wanna go all out on a paint correction and said he would be happy with just a light polishing and smooth paint, no problem. The rail dust and contaminants on this paint was the worste i EVER seen. It took almost 2 hours to clay it. I used a brand new mothers claybar and when i was done i had to toss it. I wish i would have gotten pics of it. The owner washed it before i had gotten there so that saved me a step so it evened out. He only wanted me to do the paint so i didnt do the wheels, tires or wheel wells or interior.
Clay- Mothers
Makitta rotary
Edge2K Blue pads
Optimum polish- 600rpm-1000rpm-600rpm
Wax/sealant- Poorboys World EXP
Paint came out 60%-70% imperfection free.
This was one of the better areas that didnt have alot of rail dust.

I havent done it yet. He only had 4 hours to spare so i just did the paint from the front to the end of the extended cab. All i have left to do is the bed as far as paint goes.

I got mine at autogeek.net but it looks like they are closing them out. You can also get them from Danase.com. They are pretty much the same price anywhere online. All you really need is a couple polishing pads. 4" pads make the PC very aggressive so you wont need any cutting pads IMO.

Yeah im pretty sore. My forearms are killin me. My makitta is 6.6 lbs but after ~15 hours of holding it just about non stop it felt like 1000 lbs. Even my hands are sore, i cant even open a bottle of pop lol It was a pretty profitable weekend though so i cant complain.

i'm yet to set a detailing date from my car yet. it seems like sh*t just keeps going out on it. last time i wanted to detail it, i couldnt cause my blower motor and resistor went out. and now a wheel bearing is going out. i just get afford to buy the P21, and Klassle. maybe thats not what the stuff is called, but you know what i'm talking about. so until i can order that stuff, its just going to have to wait. but just seeing the site of my PC drives me nuts!

The blower resistor and wheel bearing can waite lol
Why dont you use a wax/sealant you already have or buy something localy that is cheap to get you by?
