Thats what step mom gets for trying to be greedy. Someone building an empire, to have it run by a step moms that knows nothing at all about the bussness. Let me ask you this, what do you think about the rumors that Hendricks and Dale are talking?? Its already said that dale will get his motors and cars from Hendricks.

Besides , it was a matter of time before Dale did something.

I think that he's just doing what he has to do. I think Sr. would approve. While DEI will always be one of my fav teams, I'll follow Jr. wherever he goes and root for whoever he ends up with. RCR isn't a set deal yet, but it looks most promising. Maybe someday Jr. will drive the #3 black Chevy (he's expressed many times that he probably will towards the end of his career).

I think Jr is doing the right thing by leaving DEI. What hes gona do is only to be speculated on so far. For me i would like to see him go to RCR and race the #3. Dale Sr has been gone long enough now that people should not try to compare Jr to Sr. And Jr has proved himself to be a great driver all on his own. I feel the only person to bring back the #3 on the race track is Dale Jr himself. He started out racing his Grand Fathers number 8.. its only right he races the number that made his father famous now.

As for Teresa Earnhardt not knowing the buisness... man you couldn't be more wrong. She is the one who brought the attention to Dale Sr by promoting all the merchandise for sale, The Diecast cars, Tshirts, Hats, everything you see she has promoted. She is the one who started the sales of all the nascar stuff years back... Sure there was a little marketing from others but she is the one who pushed it and made it a multi million dollar enterprise. She started doing this all in the early 90s before NASCAR was as popular as it is now, she knew that NASCAR was growing and felt the need to market stuff to the fans.

As for running DEI i think she focused on Dale Sr. death to much. And kept him alive by still promoting memorabilia. Its now her loss for Dale Jr leaving. She will be loosing millions of dollars in sales promotions which probably paid for DEI staying open. only time will tell now.

Marketing diecast and running a team are 2 diffrent things. Did she help make diecast a thing of now, Yes she did. Can she run DEI, No. Shes not thinking about what she is going to loose. Let me ask you this, Why not share DEI with JR ? Cuz she wants to be greedy. Jr has been saying for at least 2 years now that he wants to make changes. Whats wrong with changes within DEI. Nothing at all that I can see but some people dont like changes. She is also not thinking about the Bud sponcership. Bud will go with Jr. The other questionis the number 8. Who has the right to that number. Jr, DEI???? You know DEI is not going to hand over that number just like that. Then again do you really think Teresa has the guts to put someone in a car with number 8 and a diffrent sponser. There are alot of questions that still are not answered yet.

As far as Dale going to RCR, it wont happen. THis is the reason why. Nascar put a cap on all teams. No more than a 3 car team. At the time RCR has 3 cars right now. They can not have a 4th car. Hendricks and Roush are the only 2 teams grand fathered in to have 4 cars per team. Truex will go with JR providing that Pro Bass leave next season which opens the door for Truex to leave. IF and only if Pro Bass doesnt leave, then truex will have to stay with DEI till the end off 2008 to finish his contract. No matter if its this year or next year Truex will be with Jr. Dale will not go to a team that doesnt have room for Truex all ready. Also RCR is not a local team so to say. They are about 2 hours from Moorsville. Hendricks is 10 min away from Jr house as it is. Hes always wanted something of his own. THat is no secret. Besides it has been said already by Jr that he will be using Hendrick cars and motors. To see him in the 3 ( black ) car would be nice. In fact he should carry the tradition. With that being said, he would be filling really big shoes by doing that. At this point in time Jr is no Intimidator to anyone at all.

I honestly believe that JR will go to a different race team. I am leaning more towards Ginn Racing, he as already said he wanted Jr at any cost. At Ginn he will be top dawg and get what he wants the way he wants. Look at what Martin has done at Ginn, they will get you the equipment you need to win. They also lease hendrick Engines as well. I think Jr may also bring his team to cup and bring Truex with him. That is what his daddy did and I feel Jr may do the same. Race for another and get paid, while your new team is progressing.

Yes he wants to bring his team to cup Jr. Motorsports is what it will be called from what I have heard. Does he have the resourses to do it now though is the question. I belive he would bring his onw team if Truex doesnt have to finish his contract for 2008. Ginn Racing does want him BUT there are other bigger fish in the seas and what do they have to offer Jr. Time will tell.

Im betting he will be in a RCR car. Perhaps black, perhaps red. Someone has to drive the #3 car once every ten years or so, so RCR can keep the right to the number. If anyone does, it should be JR. I dont think he's over rated, DEI on the other hand.....

Ok first thing is first. Ginn doesn not want Bud as a sponser the same as Petty will not have a Bud pole sticker on his car.(If he ever got a pole) Anti drinking or something like that. As far as Truex goes, he will leave DEI at the end of his contract, which should be at the end of 2008. UNLESS Pro Bass pulls the sponser for next year. That will free Truex and he would be able to leave before the end of 2008. DEI is looking to buy out or merge with Yates racing. She will be going to Fords next year. WHY I dont know..... and who cares.
Jr said it himself, He will not drive the number 3 car. That was his fathers legacy and he wants to stay that way. He wants to make his own mark in NASCAR. He will do what ever it takes to do it, but be smart about it. Now as far as Jr being over rated,, I agree, cuz without his father Jr would just be an ordinary name in NASCAR.

If you want to get more techincal lets look and see what he has done for the past 3 to 4 years. In the chase once, hasnt won a race in 90 races give or take. And whats wrong with that? Nascar's popularity has been growing since JR came into the sport. If your looking for "real racing" thats not BS, your looking in the wrong spot. All Nascar is, is a glorified IROC series with nice pain schemes and money everywhere.
JR is exactly what Nascar wanted him to be, its almost like he was groomed that way. Nascar isnt about racing anymore, its a total package where racing makes up 15% of the total package.

He won the Sping Richmond race, 2006. And I believe 8th last weekend. Not bad, name or no name.
