following Coupes advice i went to a Harley dealership in search of p21s. what i found was S100. it looked like the exact same jar as a i saw online, and the guys there had never heard of P21s. so i was concerned that S100 was not the same thing. not to mention the price was only $16, online the cheapest i found P21s for was $30. so i took a chance, and bought it. i got home, and went straight to Autopia.org, and sure enough, there the same thing.

so if your thinking about ordering P21s, dont. you can get the same thing for 1/2 the price at you local Harley dealership. just wanted to post this to clear up any confussion.

Yup same exact wax.
They just market it differently so they can make extra $$$$

well i used my S100/P21s on saterday. and did my "ultimate spring detail" without the Klasse. pics a a whole thread are to come, but let me just say this. S100 is like grease to take off. so have many towls to take if off.

turtle wax terry cloth. they took all the Megs ( 83, 80, 82) off fine. well 82 was a bit harder to get off the car, but overall the S100 was by far the harderst to get off. i have a feeling that hasnt happend to you, sinse your asking me about the towls i'm using, and not agreeing with me. great lol

Yup, that would be why you had such a hard time.
Start using microfiber towels on your paint, they are a night and day difference to terry cloth. You will see what i mean right away when you use microfiber instead.

MF cleans surfaces better becuase of the type of material it is. You could just get cheapy ones to get you by for now. You can get them just about anywhere really. The best OTC mf's are Vroom. The only place you can get them is Target but way worth it and they are nicely priced. But even cheapy cheapy's will work fine.

Use MF on all painted surfaces and glass, use them to remove polish, wax, sealants, cleaners ect. Once you use them you will kick your own arse for causing yourself all that extra work and headache lol

Vroom FTW. The Target by me just had those on sale. I jumped on that.

But I agree, I used to always use terry cloths. I bought some MF towels a while back and haven't been using anything else since.

I thought s100 was the easiest stuff I ever used. A little bit goes a long way..... if it was too greasy too get off maybe you were applying too much. I dunno. Another thing I like about s100, was even if it touches black trim, it doesnt turn it white. I've been using this stuff for a few years now especially when I'm too lazy to get the zaino out. lol.

I've never had any problems with regular terry cloths before. But you are right, MicroFiber towels do make a night and day difference. :applause:

your both probably right. we probably did use too much. i didnt apply any of it, my g/f did. our system was that i'd apply the 3 coats of polish, and then she'd come by and apply the wax. i wouldnt be surprised if too much was used.

Agreed with above, P21S is very easy to remove. Good thing you weren't using Klasse SG and used too much of that lol, then you would see hard removal. MF is very nice, almost endless uses it seems.

WTF if my girlfriend's over and I'm detailing she'll just sit there and continue to ask, "Are you done yet?" You got your girl doin' the sh!t for you. lol

Get her involved with what your doing.

My fiance now loves to clay, wax and remove wax. Before she would just sit there.

lol, what i did was tell her that if she wanted to spend time with me then thats what i was going to be doing. i went to my work to detail, cause of the lighting, and she went with. much like your g/f the good ole "are you done yet" or "when can we leave" was asked. i simply said, "the more you help, the faster we can get out of here." it still took 5 hours, but without her, it would have been more like 7.
