My buddy is slightly considering selling his 1987 Mazda RX7. It's got 108k, new clutch master cylinder, ADR wheels/BF Goodrich tires, recent tune-up, 6 way adjustable shocks in the back, 4 way's in the front, and a few other misc. things.

He wants about $3500. So, numero uno, should I? And numero dos, Is that a fair price? I realize after market stuff makes no difference to car value, and if anything lowers it, so my question really is, should I go for it? I think it would be kick ass to have an RX7, but idk.

Just wondering as I have no experience with Mazda's...

Unless you have a fetish for the rotary engine, stay far, far away from it. Buy it from him, clean it up and make it look pretty, then sell it to some RX nut for 5g's.

I dont know how big your town is but here in Calgary (which is a pretty damn big city) theres prolly 1 guy that will work on a rotary

also the 1987 model is kinda ugly in my opinion

Yea the 87 isnt the most appealing to teh eye thats for sure. If you have to had a rotary it doesnt sound too bad but he might be asking a lil too much.
