bingo

intercooled RSM setup with the gm reflash then....... gm m45 blower with alcohol injection.......... now m62 intercooled with alcohol injection.

I should be able to push above 20 psi in it once I build the bottom end. And then a nasty pnp on the head (which will of course lower the boost #'s) and it'll run like a raped ape.

It's all about upgradability. The RSM kit was upgraded as much as it could be. Without waiting on RSM to send a new drive pulley and housing at the note of like 800 bucks. and then only seeing like 8 psi. The m45 kit with a 2.6 pulley and alchy injection will put out about 10 psi and still get heatsoaked. The m62 will put out 10 psi on the stock pulley, and with the intercooler, alchy, and an itty bitty pulley, should be plenty more than needed. Time to build a spare motor and see what a proper sized s/c can do.

Timeslips speak louder than supercharger pics :-P look good tho , cant wait to see what she runs, SPy might have competition?

lol yeah, spy knew about this a while ago. We'll see. I expect nothing extraordinary out of the stock pulley and roughly 10psi, but with a built motor and a 2.8ish pulley, the motor should wake up quite a bit

:leg So does this mean that one would purchase a flange (intake manifold) from you, then one would have to purchase an M62 separatley? Do you have any info/pics of the IC? One more: How much $$$ are we talking here?
Great work BTW dude.

You will be able to buy the manifold from my guy. Then you;ll need to find an m62, but you'll also need the idler pulley from the m45 s/c kit, and of course a way to tune it and add more fuel.

Very nice. What do you think the new 1/4 will be?

ganut

cost of manifold would be 850. With intercooler add 150, and if you want it set up for direct port nitrous, add 100.

No clue on what track times will be. Haven't ever taken it. Not with any of the blowers I've had. My car's not a track car really. I have a stereo in it, and 18's (soon to be 19's) body kit, full interior, etc. and it's an auto. When I build another motor to handle 20 plus psi It'll be a 5 speed with a lot of goodies though. Then I may take it to the track....... Alright, maybe I'll go once I get the m62 setup all tuned, but we'll see. Gotta start screwing with hptuners

Phoenix vs. Las Vegas

Ganut vs. Spy

Sucking vs. Blowing

Supercharger vs. Turbocharger
.................................................. ..........................

The competition is going to have to be gettin' up and boogying real quick! :)

I think I'll be out racing somewhere other than Vegas this year. I hope. :).

Thats awesome man. I should be sc'd by August.

Just wondering, what did you do with your m45? What kind of throttle body are you using?

where did you end up getting the m62 from?

ganut

m62 I got from the .org but they are all over. Ebay, cobalt forums, redline forums, etc.

I still have the m45, not sure what I'll do with it yet. Maybe send it to steigmeier's to get polished and ported. Trying to keep an eye out for another n or j body with a 2.4 That way I can pull the motor to build it, then swap it into the GA and put the one that's in it now into the other.

The throttle body is the stock one for now, but I'm looking into a 62mm one from mrzperformance.

LOL Don't forget, the m62 will be on, but I still gotta build an engine to handle the pulley swap. 10psi from a blower on a stock motor won't compete with 14psi from a turbo on a built motor. Hopefully by the time summer is over. It's too friggin hot here to race right now anyway.

but oh yea, I almost forgot 2.4 > 3.4 lol ;)

Haha I was against that statement when I had my gt, now Ive got a z24 and its all good.

What size pulley are you running now? And will you have to have the tb bolt holes machined or are they close to the 2.4? If you cant find anything to do with your m45 or are change your plans or something Id be more than happy to take it off your hands ;)

There there Spy. lol There are others that will see the light soon.

Btw You're welcome to come to Phx anytime you want. My new house has plenty of extra rooms, and a few bars nearby. We'll get a track day together or something. Wait till the weather gets nice though.
