View Full Version : Requesting pictures of trunk springs

Could someone take a picture of their OEM trunk springs for me? Mine were taken out a long time ago when I first got the CF trunk but now that I have to spoiler there's enough weight to put them back in.
I purchased what were supposedly GA trunk springs way back when too- unfortunately, since it took me a year since I opened the box I'm now realizing that these in fact may not be GA trunk springs at all.
Thanks in advance!

I don't recall having ANY springs on my GT's trunk.

Coil...springs...whatever. It's what holds the trunk up after you open it. Should be below the rear deck where the arms are connected.

They are two solid pieces of 1/8" that attach to the arms that lift the trunk.

You could solve this problem by taking off the ironing board on back.

I meant why didnt you put them on the CF trunk??
Give me 5 minutes and Ill have some pics.

You're confusing me.
The reason why they weren't on the trunk was because the CF trunk itself is too light and I didn't want it flinging toward my rear window. Now that I have the added weight of the spoiler it should work like a normal trunk.

So what do I get?
