View Full Version : grinding when under 35 mph

I'm getting a grinding sound that is going with the rotation rate of my tires, but only when I'm under speed of 35mph.

I'm fairly certain the sound isn't being made because of the brakes because the sound is being made even when I'm not applying pressure.

The sound is, however, a bit louder and more aggressive when I am turning.

Are my bearings going bad? Should I just swap out the hub assemblies on both fronts?

Car: Grand Am GT, sedan, 3400, 44k miles.

Also, for PM I want to swap out my Intake Gasket Manifold for that newer steel one...anyone happen to have that part number available?

If your on the stock Goodyear RSA tires, then they are making the grinding noise. The only way to get rid of it is to change the tires. As for the LIM gasket, please search for it. I know I posted it in a similar thread about a week or two ago.
