Some movement is normal. To be safe keep an eye on your engine and tranny mounts.

Maybe a little misfiring

Mine shakes too. Its normal for all motors to rock a little bit unless they have solid motor mounts but then that would kill the smooth ride in the car.

so in a way its a "good" thing that it moves a lil. what would be causing misfiring? bad plugs/wires?

My car motor rocks too. and misfiring is caused by bad plugs, wire's or coil packs. and if there is any others im sure the boys on the forum will help you.
But im sure your car is fine, my 3400SFI likes to rock.:metal:

Actually if everything is running right (i.e. clean injectors, filters, etc.), the engine won't rock at idle. The PCM does a very good job of keeping a steady idle. Mine, up until recently, has been glass smooth at idle. But I know what's causing that problem.

Well when I mean rock I mean a tiny tiny movement. Ive never seen an engine that is perfectly still.
