Here is step by step on how to remove the glass, motor, and regulator from a front door on a 99+ GA.
Trim panel removal:
Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Important
When removing a door trim panel or switch plate, disconnect the negative battery terminal. This will eliminate the possibility of shorting out the switch if you use a screwdriver, an awl, or a metal object in order to remove the switch from the harness.
Pry up the power window switch plate (if equipped). Disconnect the connector and remove the switches. Remove the screw from inside this area.
Remove the window regulator handle, if equipped. (use a screwdriver or a window clip removal tool under the handle to pop off the clip holding this piece on.
Remove the inside door handle bezel. Pull out on the inner door handle and remove the screw holding the bezel on. Once the screw is removed pull out on the handle and slide the bezel out.
Remove the trunk release switch bezel. Pry off with a flat-bladed tool.
Remove the screw under the armrest and the screw inside the reflector area near the bottom of the door.
Gently unclip the front door trim from the door, disengaging the retaining clips.
Disconnect the door lock switch electrical connector (if equipped).
Remove the front door trim from the vehicle.
Water deflector removal:
This is the plastic covering over the inner portion of the door.
Start at the top and remove the deflector pulling downwards. Pull the connectors through the existing deflector holes.
Window replacement:
There are two bolts that hold the window to the regulator track. These bolts must be removed. Note that you may need to remove the sealing strips on the door to get the glass out. The service manual is confusing but it says to lower the glass and then remove the inner belt sealing strip. Once that is done you can remove the bolts to the glass and pull the glass out.
Window regulator removal:
There are three bolts holding the regulator in place. One near the window motor and two in the lower section of the regulator. There are also four rivets in the center of the door holding the regulator in place. Drill these out and remove them as well. The regulator should come out of the large hole in the back side of the door. The regulator and motor appear to be connected as a unit. The motor is held to the regulator with bolts.
Replacement of the items above is the opposite.
Tightening specs:
Window regulator bolts (regulator to door): 89 lb/in
Window regulator nuts (regulator to glass): 89 lb/in
Hopefully this helps someone. :)
