Just announced at 11. I personally couldn't be happier with the news. I'm a huge Gordon fan, and I think Earnhardt will make a great addition to HMS. It sucks that Kyle Busch gets the boot, but since he's got the personality that he does, it's not all that bad afterall. He's almost as bad as Tony Stewart (Although they're both good drivers).

What're the Gordon haters going to do now? They'll still hate him regardless if he's little E's teammate. Mass success builds haters though I suppose.

What are your thoughts?

Cool. I saw your thread but decided to start a new thread since it really wasn't any more news about him leaving DEI.

Not so happy...I'm a Dale Jr. fan but either way he's still a great driver. It would be nice if he could work things out with his step-mom and stay with his father's company but he needs to be where he can win. I ain't mad at him, he's still my fav and he' s great!

I think under DEI, he was an average driver. Nothing spectacular. Back in the early 2000's and especially 2004, he was a great driver, but since then, he's left a lot to be desired. I think he's had a lot of distractions at DEI with his step mom.

But if you think he's a great driver now, wait until he's driving a HMS car!

Also, I think it's pretty ironic how a couple months ago, Kyle Busch and Earnhardt crashed out.. Kyle stormed out of the racetrack, and his crew got his car fixed. It was Earnardt that finished the race in Kyle's car... now he's going to be replacing him at Hendrick. That's really weird. If this were pro wrestling, I'd say it was staged.

Oh I agree! I think this is going to help him get to where he wants to be, it just would be nice if it could be done under his Dad's company. Yeah bush crashed and left the race..what kind of team player is that! But they probably just figured hey they needed Dale to get the job done and he did, so why not bring on with the team.

DEI is struggling to say the least. Yea it was his Dad's company but that was a long long long time ago. Times change and so do people. Dale isnt getting any younger and he knows he needs to get on a team that will give him that championship. HMS will certainly be able to do that. Rick Hendrick matches drivers with crew chiefs like no one else.

Ive never really been a Dale fan but Ive always liked the way he races. He will be an amazing teammate to the whole team.

I'm a little confused...your not a Dale fan but you like the way he races...isn't that what you would be a fan of (his racing)?

Ive never liked Dale because he was Dale. You dont have to be a fan to admire the way that someone drives a race car.

How do you think he drives?

I think he's a class-act, and he doesn't wreck everyone in site to get ahead. He's not his father, but that's a good thing.

So your only a fan of his racing...got it:) Well I am a true fan mostly because of my Father...I remember when I was younger I would try and change the channel after he fell asleep and he would always catch me so after awhile I got hooked myself!lol

I hate both DEI and Gordon. Hopefully, Gordon and DEI will get what they deserve from their cheap shots and bumps.
