3rd Brakelight Cover

Ive been looking at gettin a 3rd Brakelight Decal. but im concered that if i do this, the cars behind me wont see 100% of the light because the decal will cover some of the light that should shine through.

If you cant see the two HUGE lights on either side of the 3rd brake light they dont need to be driving. I have a cover (the light is a CCFL though) and tinted GT tails and even during the brightest part of the day you can clearly see it.
