I need some help with the installation of these pulleys. Please write ASAP if you know which pulleys are the alternator and the water pump. I am pretty sure about the water pump cause it has the four or five bolts on it but the alternator one I am lost because the new one I bought from street arsenal is larger. Is it the one on the side of the alternator basically the highest one in the engine bay? Please write to me and maybe even send pics. thanks a bunch

i think most would advise against using the underdrive pulleys. but if you are for sure faststeve had them on his car

thanks for your concern but they are the street arsenal ones not the RAT ones, he had the RAT ones and that is why they messed his car up

yeah you are correct , the alterrnator one is alll the way at top. it goes right beside alternator. Then the water pump is like the closed one to you while standing in front of the car. BTW, i have rat pulley's.

hey Macleod52 mind your own business because i could make you my bitch, it is a waste of my time to get an email saying that someone has responded and i go to it and it is some bullcrap that doesn't even come close to answering my question, mind your own business
Thanks a lot X-ception, you are a great help.

Will you guys chill out a bit? Flaming each other isn't gonna answer this guys question. I think both of the last two comments are a bit out of line (edit - mac and jsos431). Just because FastSteve has his alternator go on him doesn't mean under drive pulleys are the devil... Matt (I think) of Street Arsenal himself said he had sold over 50 sets of the pulleys with no complains. Informing people of others mishaps is a good thing, but flaming isn't helping.
On-topic - Xceptions description is correct. The water pump is closest to you standing at the front of the car. The alternator is closer to the back of the engine bay.
I'm sure Rob and Jason W don't mind I use this pic...

Hey I was merely telling him to stop being a **** about it. Just because someone was trying to save him an alternator doesn't call for him being a ****! No offense taken on my part Josh cause sure I was a little harsh but I'm not mad nor am I going to be an e-thug.. Hah threaten people over then net... how sad....

Hey, he was asking how to put the damn things on. If he wanted to know if they were bad for the car he could have gone to the thread discussing that.

He may not have asked for it but we gave it to him anyways! I'll remember that next time you want to do something that'll totally screw up your car. I mean shoot sorry for people looking out for one another... :duh:

Ok, if he said he wanted to run a 200 shot of nitrous, then I could understand it, but you are warning him about something that you don't even know if it matters or not.

This is getting out of hand - most of us know (and there are other posts here on the board) about the potential advantages and disadvanteges to underdrive pullies. So let's not beat a dead horse.

Well, Silver knew that FastSteve's Alternator blew because of an underdrive pully so maybe he thought it meant all underdrive pulleys would do it. I don't know cause I'm not him but I'm sure it's along those lines! So based on what he knew he had a legit reason for wanting to warn someone that would put them on their car! I see absolutly nothing wrong with what silver did. There was absolutly no excuse for the comments that were made to him! If dude wants to be a **** then go somewhere else because we don't tolerate it here! I'm merely sticking up for someone because I don't like it when people are ***** especially to someone that didn't deserve it!
