Anybody know anything about this company? I found that they sell performance chips and was thinking about buying one but I haven't heard a whole lot about them. I was wondering if there products a good and there not some fraud company.

99+ Grand Am's don't use a replaceable chip. Instead the PCM is flashed by a programmer through the under dash OBDII port.

i was just thinking, if i could get the software on my laptop to do this, would it be possible to connect it to the obii (chord needed of course) and tune it myself to my own custom specs?

Stay away from anything that says "performance chip"! Get yourself a powertuner or HPtuner and do it yourself with a laptop.
