GTO pics straight from Australia

Well I know a guy that was in Australia recently and most of you probably know him on the board as GT1Fire. Well he is teasing me because he said he is going to send me one pic a day. He has 9. Here is installment #1 of the real deal. Not a picture of a tv like posted before this. So I will try to keep up if he holds his word. Man I want all 9!!!

Sorry, but your friend doesn't have the same GTO we'll be getting. That is the "HSV Goupe GTO 255" I believe, and if you look above the bumper it says "Coupe." The HSV stands for Holden Special Vehicles (Like SVT but for Holden) and the 255 stands for 255 kW, or about 340 hp. I mean it is kinda the same car, but it isn't like undercover pictures that he is sneeking in. That is a badass car tho. I just realized after doing the hp calculation that the Coupe 255 is the 340 hp one we'll get alone with the GTS 300, which is the 400 hp one, just like Lutz said. It is seeming like those numbers are more and more real every day.

Dude what are you talking about? How did you get "Have the same car" and Undercover pictures out of my post.

Your very right, this is not the vehicle that we are getting in the US. The information that VTECH supplied is correct and the HSV GTO has been out for over a year now....give VTECH a break....he was telling everyone the truth.

guys chill out. noone said anything about this being the car that the U.S. is getting. in fact i know it's not. i sent these pics to scott so he could post them up for me. i just thought that it was cool that i got to see this car, and actually look it over and sit in it, whereas most of you if any have had that simialr chance. i just thought that we should put up these pictures because all the other pics of the "Holden Monaro GTO" were actually just of the "Holden Monaro". the monaro is just like the GASE, slightly toned down, and less options. the GTO has different wheels, bumpers, and side skirts. basically i just wanted to show you all what the "Aussies" have to play with in their country. and since i'm on an aircraft carrier on the other side of the world, my server wouldn't allow me to post those pics. so don't get all bent out of shap over them, but yes VTECH, you're right about the one that the states is getting. but both blocks are still the LS1, just bored slightly different. i hope i made some sense of this. later.

btw, i would love to have that car but it's selling for 78000 aussie, which comes out to around 45000 u.s.

Oh ok, I was wondering because it seemed like it was a posting of GTOs ready to be shipped to the US cuz you could get pics of the GTO coupe anywhere. But since you got a chance to see them, I can understand about the pics. I just wanted to clarify b4 anyone got confused. They are almost exactly the same as the US version will be tho.

Didn't mean this at all. I meant that the pictures were taken in Australia by a friend. Not that a friend is buying the car and being shipped from Australia.

Anyway yeah what Lance said. Just helping him post plus a lot of people have talked alot about this car so the pics got posted.
