Hi all, I have a real weird problem going on.

First, let me say that my GA is a 5-speed.

Now, when you drive a 5-speed, and you're going, say, 60-65 and rpms are at 2300, when you shift to neutral, your rpm's should drop to idle, right? That would be about 1100.

Here's what's happening. Say i'm going 65, rpms are at 2300, I shift into neutral. Rpms drop to about 1600. Not idle.
As I brake, and start to slow the car down, as my speed drops, so does my rpm's.

When I finally get to a full stop, my rpms are finally at idle.

Doesn't make any sense to me. It's almost as if it's not fully disengaging. But otherwise, the car drives fine.

I will say, that I disconnected my battery to work on the car on an unrelated project, and it was unplugged for a few days. After I got everything hooked up again, my car drove perfectly for a few days. No problem with rpm's.
Then it came back again a couple of days ago.

Sensor issue? Anything?

Thanks, guys.

Could be idle control valve or maf. Mine would run fine after clearing the computer for a day or so, then it would come back.
