As far as I know, no one makes performance pistions for the 3400. But you can have custom pistons made from the popular aftermarket suppliers (J&E, Wiseco). But to get a better answer to your question look here.

Uh, check out some forums and links on www.v6z24.com . It is a pretty popular engine swap to put a 3400 into an older style J-body. Some members have been able to get forged pistons and what not. Most of the parts (INTERNAL) on the old 2.8/3.1 are interchangeable with the 3400. There are companies that will suply you what you're looking for, but the question is how much do you want to spend?

Like I said you can get custom pistons. But as far as I know, nobody has a performance off the shelf piston for the 3400.

Yeah, they can get them.... custom made. Not off the shelf. Now a days though custom made pistons are fairly common and not too expensive. You just have to go thru the process of spec'ing what you want.

If you absolutely must have forged pistons, custom is your only choice as others have noted.
But for anything short of say, 15psi of boost, Sealed Power makes hyperutectic pistons that would work well. Get 'em through RockAuto.com.
