Anyone have any advice for tuning this thing so that I can pass smog. What should I be changing?

I dont think you should have a problem passing with your setup. You are a little more modded than I am, but I passed no problem.

Cali's are a bit more strict than illinois. Either way I want to be sure to pass the first time as I don't want to be sent to a state run referee. They'll surely wouldn't overlook the headers.

PA's the 2nd most strict state, next to Cali.

I pass with no problems, but I don't have any head work

you live in cali, let me put it this way. you modded your car the majority of your modifications are not legal for california since most of the companies did not get a CARB exempt number.

Have fun.

Do they run exhaust sniffers too in Cali?

Sorry I can't offer any good advice, but perhaps if you find the "right type" of place you can make a deal under the table, as it were...

I modded my car not knowing I would be living in the peoples republic of california in the future. That really doesn't help my issue. Either way the only thing they really notice is the headers and they may look past those. I need to tune this thing so it passes the sniff test. Simple as that. I was thinking of running some alcohol through the car on the day of the test just hope it stays running.

And please can I just some advice on tuning? I really don't need the other comments.

There really isn't much you can do. you can make it run really lean so it's barely burning anything at all.

& run it on the highway for 30-minutes before going in for the emissions test.

Think Italian tune-up...clearing out the engine of carbon/junk.

& it will also make sure your cat is up to operating temp (so it works the must efficiently) before the sniffer test.

Let all the velocity and air suckage to make the car far it all out> :) I like.
