I've noticed that when opening my sunroof has had a tendency to chatter as its moving along the tracks. I suspect this is an issue with lubrication of the tracks as if I smear the grease around with my finger the chatter stops...for a little while.

So, two things: Is this really a lube issue?

What kind of grease is recommended for use on the tracks and should they be cleaned somehow (to remove debris buildup)?

Cool. I had read in one of the threads floating around involving sunroofs that someone used white lithium grease, but there was no feedback on results...

That is what was recommended by a sunroof, auto-glass, tint installer place by me.

That reminds me: I should lube my Mom's sunroof in the Sunfire GT...

& don't forget to wipe the rubber seals with Silicon lube (to keep them soft).

Why do I find that funny...

Ya know if you posted that in the AAG forum I'd bet good money sik would say something...

But I get your point.
