I bought this FM Transmitter for my ipod and it sounds really crappy. The reception is horrible. Its the belkin tunebase. Has anyone had any luck with other fm transmitters.

Yeah I have one and I really hate it.
I bought one of those cassette adapters and it works pretty good. I was going to buy this thing call "iPod to Car" but there was a star next to the 99-00 Alero and Grand Am (go figure).
The FM transmistter work OK in my Delta, but I can also pick up XM radio in that car if I'm near somebody with it

yea just spend the extra money on a good headunit. Alpine or Pioneer FTW

I bought my Zune from Wal-Mart, and drove over to Radio Shack the same day and bought my $9.00 RCA --> headphone cable and hooked it up, works sweeeeeeet.

It works, or worked, really well in my Delta, but that's a old school, low powered stock radio with the manual tuner.
If it's not comming in very well, just turn the knob, and it works

ok now the question is:
is there any difference from the 18 dollar Best Buy one, verses the 80 dollar name brand? lol

Eh they're all garbage but the griffin, dlo, kensington, etc, is usually better than the cheap house brand ones. I work at best buy and although alot of the house brand stuff isn't bad I'm not a fan of the fm transmitters. Or the fm transmitters period. But instead of paying 80 bucks for an fm transmitter that won't work well, pay $130 for a cheaper alpine headunit with the ipod interface and the stuff to install it.
I have had some fm transmitters that don't work bad, my best experiences have been with the griffing itrip auto. The one that actually plugs in. It works alright in my dads f-150 and my moms blazer, but they have all sucked in my GA no matter what. The griffin just seemed to suck less haha.
