By the look of the torn apart alero in the background, they just didn't work for his application. Just a guess though

Why do these always come up at the wrong time? How much were they new out of curiosity, and I guess they were custom order.

If memory serves correctly they were a custom order. A set sold not too long ago but I forget how much they went for. I know if I didnt have a wife and house payment to answer to Id be willing to part with some money right about now.

Yes they are for the 3400, i am not abandoning my build, but with the price of custom rods, i found it cheaper to buy some 327 sbc rods, shave em, and then get a different forged piston with a bigger wrist pin, also then i can lower the compression ratio a little more.......
