It will feel like you about to pull your trunk lid off, and then it pops off.
Hit the gym ;) lol

i tried to take mine off last year and I broke my trunk, so it ended up costing me 260.00 to fix the trunk and installing the spoiler

Way to motivate him. lol
Kidding, sounds like you got it?
wow my week is ruined. I placed the spoiler up on the trunk and stepped back and a big wind blew and blew it off the trunk. Now I have a face ass chip in one of the corneres and scratches all along the back, just paid 150 today to get it painted, ****ing great. I seriously can not believe that just ****ing happened.

Sh!tt bro. :(
not just the paint is chipped. the spoiler is chipped. And I really just spent all I had on my system and this spoiler and have no money to get it repaired + re painted.... :bleep:

K the paint chipped off bad along the back, you can tell they didnt even clear it, or prep it for paint! What the hell did I pay 150 dollars for? A 15 minute rattle can job? Im goin back there tomorrow and I got a thing or 2 to say to him.
09-18-2007, 09:30 PM
wow thats really ****ty, but i have a question? how did wind get a hold of it? you should have been doing this in a garage or something.
I swear there was NO wind, i stepped back and all of a sudden the wind blew, i swear, im like, are you ****ING kidding me. I realize it is my fault the spoiler fell off but still, they DID do a ****ty job painting, maybe he will fix that chip and re spray just the back of it. All in all the spoiler DOES look good. you can only see the damage from about 2-3 feet away or closer, but still , im mad.
EDIT : I was doing it in my driveway

no fock that. if he did such a crappy job, take it back there and tell them to fix the spoiler and repaint the whole damn thing and make it look good. thats bulls hit. i am pissed just from reading that.
I am even more pissed for paying 150$ for a job I could have done. I took it to a pro. because wanted a pro. job. He charges 60/Hour labor. I have bought paint before. Had it custom mixed and it was only 100$ for the paint, AND clear. And this wasnt custom mixed it was a stock color. It is obvious they didnt prep it very good. And it is very obvious they didnt clear it. And he is a friend of my mom and dad, I am going to raise a stink about it big time when I go there tomorrow.

good, make sure they make that spoiler perfect. don't accept anything less
09-18-2007, 09:48 PM
sorry to hear that. I hope it wont be much to fix
Im not paying **** for it to get resprayed, if he wants to charge me like 30 bucks to fix that chip sure, I would have brought it back anyway, because it isa ****ty paint job.

For anyone else trying this, instead of fishing line, try dental floss. Cuts a lot faster. Just be careful on fibreglass/resin parts as it will cut into that material.
dental floss broke in 2 seconds.

You must be a pretty strong dude. Or weak floss. Sorry but I have never had it break. Strong carpet thread also works. To me, fishing line takes too long to cut, I do not have the patience.
