When i first cold start my car i get this loud and annoying tick from the engine and then it goes away when the car is warmed up. Its not noticeable once the car is warm. But when it first starts its loud and obnoxious. Any ideas?

hahahahahaha...yeah i like that part. But when i first start it. It just really pisses me off cuz i cant figure it out. Im thinking of puttin some lucas oil suplement in it to see if that gets rid of it. It just started after i got my oil changed last week.

Probably piston slap. It's a problem that isn't present in all 3400's, but is fairly well known. It shouldn't be anything to worry about or that needs to be fixed right now.

What type of:
oil filter;
oil;
viscosity ?

PS: IMO, I would say no to the Lucas oil supplement.

The lucas oil may help the noise for a little while, but it will probably just come back anyway.
