key getting stuck in ignition

Twice in the past week the key has been really hard to get from ACC position to Off position to take the key out of the ignition, seems to get stuck half way in between the two. I've checked both times to make sure I"m not making any bonehead mistakes like not having the car in park. Anyone else experience similar problems or ever have this happen? Is there anything I can do to make sure this doesn't happen?? Thanks

On one of my previous cars I sometimes had to shake the steering wheel to get the key out because of the wheel lock pin. If you have a 99+ GA it shouldn't matter though since we don't have a lock pin on the steering wheel.

Put it in gaer and then back into park again. I had to do this before.

It's happened to me twice in 2 1/2 yrs. Never gave much thought to it. Just moved the shifter into drive and then into park again and the key came out.

that was happening to me right before my ignition locked up. the dealership actually ended up locking it up.

haha i broke mine and i can take the key out in any position, opps!

This happened in my 99, everytime I tried to get the key out! I took it to the dealer, and they fiddled with it for awhile, and finally got it out. They started the car, and tried it again, and again it was stuck. They replaced the whole steering column, and it still got stuck!
