Chicago is a great sports town becasue we have the greatest basketball player ever, we have a basketball dynasty and the single greatest NBA season ever, we have the greatest single season NFL team as well as a recent Super Bowl runner up and a World Series Championship team that had one of the greatest playoff runs in the history of the game.

...Not becasue we have a tourist attraction on Addison and Clark.

You must be a Sox fan. It still amazes me how Sox fans have so much hatred for the Cubs.....They are both Chicago teams. I'm embarrassed to live near Chicago when I hear crap like this.

With the way the Cubs have been playing. they dont deserve it, unless they have a huge turnaround.

After seeing their loss for two straight games I'm inclined to believe they will fail. This regularly happens especially when we get new managers. Soon after they get the new guys they almost always make the playoffs...and lose in the first knockout round. After that they just lose and never get close again for several years, until they replace the manager...and then the cycle begins all over again.

As for the whole Sox vs. Cubs fan thing. It's just the way it is in the Chicago area. If you say you're a Chicago fan, it just means you don't have the balls to pick one team and be a tried and true fan to them. I was born a Sox fan, raised a Sox fan and even living here in MN always be a Sox fan. You love your team whether they win or lose... otherwise you aren't a true fan and just a bandwagon fan.

STFU!! We deserved to lose, the way they played these last 3 game's i think a High school team could have beat them. Your not going to win any game with 6 run's unless you have 3 pitcher's that throw shut out innings. O well atleast we weren't one of the worst teams in baseball this year..

Oh please, be a little more sensitive, why don't you. It is a team rivalry and it flies both ways. I get more **** from my Cub fan friends (which is most of em) then I've ever dished out. And I do not dislike the team itself (sans Zambrano), its the fans, including my friends, that are unbearable.

Thats all fine and dandy but 70% of the "fans" do not even watch the game. They're there to congregate with their friends and get completely obliterated (I have no problem with that, but calling themselves fans isn't exactly justified when they can't name half of the starting lineup). I went to a game with a friend earlier this season to hear the bleachers chanting "Right field sucks!" "Left field sucks!" to their respective counterparts. I couldn't help but laugh and thank the good Lord I didn't grow up a Cubs fan.

As for the outcome of this series.....
