by the threaded bolt that goes into the caliper do you mean the pin?(should be behind a rubber bushing)

if it is the pin, pull it out and check if you can get the bolt to tighten while its out. if it doesn't, you've stripped the threads on the inside of the pin. Head to your local auto shop and pick up a new pin/bolt set (cost me 10 bucks for 2 pins and 2 bolts). pop em back in (don't forget to grease the outside of the pin) and torque the bolt in.

Also check if you're ratcheting in the right direction. i've spent 20 minutes trying to figure out why my caliper bolt was spinning through before i realized i hadn't reversed my ratchet :D

feel free to correct me if i got anything wrong everyone

thanks but i have figured it out, you have to pull down the boot and stick a wrench on it.

while i was driving today i noticed some grinded coming from front end, i thought it was the tab telling me to change my brakes.

it was the bolt.......

1. the dealer never put it in
2. they put it in but didnt tighten it and it finally worked its way out.

my caliper is grinded from it touched my rim while in motion.

;crap all is good now though.

Dealer torqued one of my caliper bolts to about 250 ftlbs. Pb blasted, torched, breaker bar, stood on said breaker bar, bigger torch, jumped on breaker bar. Finally came off. I love dealerships :)

Unbelievable... You'd figure brakes is one area a dealership would do right.
