Is this a power window Failure Sign?

Ever since I got my 02 GAGT, my auto down feature on my drivers side window has never worked. I never really cared and just ignored. Well, I have 10k miles on it now, and when I roll up the drivers side window, it makes this like almost like a thumping noise when it goes up... You can the click click click. it rolls up fine, but I have noticed that on the passenger side window, it doesn't make this sound. I don't know if this is because one of them has the auto power down, and the other doesn't. Also, what would it take to fix the auto power down? will my warranty cover that? Also, how long should I expect my car to be at the dealership to fix the window issue? if anyone could let me know!
