I have 80k on my car. I missed the tranny fluid change that i saw on the scheduled maintenance sheet. i take it that i def should get it? if so, how much does that run on average?

I'd have the fluid and filter changed, but don't get it flushed if you've never had it done and you have high miles. Sometimes the flush will stir up clutch material and other crap inside the transmission and it will get into seals and actuators and mess up your tranny. You'll get it flushed and suddenly a few months later it will fail... it happened to the 4T60E trans in my grand prix. It just sudden wouldn't go into forward gear and wouldn't move. Seals where shot.

Depends. They could just say you weren't maintaining the vehicle properly and won't pay for it.

I think it will be more that now...

Especially, if they are using the proper ATF fluid spec; GM DEXRONŽ-VI.

I had mine flushed with 115k on it, all my mods, original tranny, and i dont have a problem at all. Ive put 10k+ miles on it since then. I dont think you should be as worried as some others but thats just from my experience. I got mine done for $95 for the flush filter and gasket.

$50

good luck with that.

quality name brand trans fluid is going for $3 a quart X 14 quarts (if your doing it properly you are using at least 14 quarts) sure doesnt leave much room for the guy doing it to even break even on parts, much less use of his machine, his shop, his labor, or something called profit.
