Check out http://thechicagogarage.org/viewtopic.php?t=1542 that thread for detailed information.

ALOT. look at the link jared has set up. something like at least 40 cars. They are going to be bracket racing for an extra 20 bucks. First, second, and third prizes. From what i understand, they also rented the track so the people that are racing for real will have first dibs at track time.

i was just on Gld's website. Import wars was supposed to be 10-14-07. Due to rain it got rescheduled for next sunday(the track day for the garage meet). i dont think ill be goin now that all of the cars for import wars plus all of the cars from the garage website will be goin. Its not worth it hope whoever is goin has a good time.

****UPDATE****
The track day will still happen, but has been relocated to Byron dragway. Its going to be hit or miss as far as how busy it is and we wont have a lane of our own.

I'll be showing up for the meet most likely, but I have a final that sunday so I won't be racing.

I saw the list, and how many had signed up to show up, but I was curious as to the types of cars, i.e. is it mostly Grand Prixs, some Grand Ams, a complete mix, etc.

All sorts. My buddy was tellin me ZO6's, EVO's, GP's, GA's, etc. i actually might go now since its been moved to byron. it wasnt worth payin 50 bucks or somethin more than normal just because of import wars goin on. Esspecially with 80+ cars that might have been there.

Wasn't on the first few pages. I'm not about to search through 20 pages looking for a time slot.

In any case I'll be heading out after I wash the car. I had an eye doc appointment I had to go to that I just got back from.

The meet had a huge turnout, easily over 40 cars. GTPs, Cobalt SS', wrxs, evo, whippled riviera, camaro, a z06, srt4, twin engine olds cutlass, blown mustang, and some other cars.

Anyone who didnt make it to the meet missed a good time. Id say our group had around 50 cars there. Too bad there were four other clubs at the track also. 0ver 400 cars there the announcer said. Anyways, I ran a new personal best and finally hit 14's... barely! 14.969 @89.65

I love the power tuner. It takes a considerable amount of time to learn exactly what everything does but is well worth the time and $$. I would say that its about as important as any tool in my toolbox right now.

Thanks. The headwind there was terrible, probably around 30mph. Everyone was bitching about it all day.
