Now I'm starting to wonder. They hadn't really played a real team untill last night, and well Dallas gave it all they had, and the patriots responded with 21 extra unanswered points.

I didn't give them any credit, but now I sort of have to. There next big challenge would be November 4th. Really hope the Colts are ready for them! They are going to come in here with a chip on there shoulder, loosing 3 games to us, including the AFC championship.

Only thing i noticed about the Patriots is they don't seem to have much of a running game, and the defense is good, but not the best. If someone could shut down the passing game it might be the way to beat them...

Your right November 4 is probably their next challenge, then again in December against the Steelers, assuming both the colts and steelers continue to improve and play well. I still wouldnt be surprised to see some team like washington to take them out. If they lose, I think it will be against the most unlikely team. However, they have a good shot at becoming the second undefeated team.

i heard some stat that the patriots have only NOT scored in one quarter this whole season and that was against the browns :D

the cowboys havent let up a first quarter point this whole season till that game, and the patriots have now scored 33 first quarter points this year lol

and back to the cowboys.

they really arent that good. Yea they beat the giants, so what. Their defense is horrid. Terrance Newman looked like crap last night, roy williams sucks. There D line is good, but thats it. They are like the giants defensively but the giants have much better offense. Patrick Crayton is decent, and TO is over rated.

They are a tough team none the less, but look at why they are 5-0, they havent played anyone that good.

The only things that can stop the Patriots are injuries and maybe the Colts.

That is a monster power house. Brady will pwn Mannings TD record barring injuries

Cowboys didnt give their all for one, they played pretty sloppy. They looked decent in the second and third quarter, but forgot about the first and fourth. 12 penalties for 100 yards isnt "giving it your all". Go figure, graxall has to call out the cowboys, and once again try to provoke a TO argument.

I'm not taking anything away from the patriots, they are a very solid team and I honestly didn't expect a win from dallas, but was sure as hell cheering for them to get the win. Of course Brady is going to dominate the stats, look at his recievers...how can you not?

Yes, they will lose. They will not go undefeated. I don't know who will beat them, but chances are, (based off of history), they will most likely lose to a team, or teams, that they should've beat.... and everyone will be surprised that the Patriots lost to them. Its pretty much inevitable.

Why do you think your team is so good. When the giants suck i admit they suck, i dont say they are good because i like them.

X2, the cowboys are FAR from a powerhouse...the teams they played to this point were terrible. I was impressed on how they played for most the game, but they were still no match.

The november 4th game is going to be crazy. Only challenge the colts have in there way to keep them from going undefeated up until that game is the Jaguars, who also are playing very good ball right now. Lost to Tennesee but then won 4 straight. I just asked off of work for November 4th, should the unthinkable happen, ahd the Pats win, I really don't wanna be pissed off about it all night at work.

But yeah the pats look pretty unstopable. I'll give 'em that. The receiver corps seem nearly perfect. Its like Brady's throwing to velcro. If the colts are to beat the pats they are going to have to focus on stopping the pass more than the run (which seems to be somewhat of an issue with the colts this season: They are so concerned about the run from last season, that they let a lot of good passes go through), and time of possesion. Don't get in a shoot out with Brady right now. Instead play keep away. That seems to be way to beat the pats.

I think they'll go down eventualy, its inevitable. And yeah I agree it'll probably be to a team you'd least expect. Who would of thought the bears would of been taken out by Miami last season?

I do think Dallas is over-rated. Definilty one of the best NFC teams, but still isn't too much of a suprise the Pats beat them. It was really just sheer luck that they beat the Bills on MNF!

As for the TD record, I'm not going to lie, it aggravates me. They always say "brady collects rings, Manning collects stats", now looks like Brady's going to have both. Manning will never have that many TD passes again, but its a good thing because when he threw all the time, the Colts lost playoff games. Now they are pretty balanced between passing and running, and sometimes, Manning will even run the ball into the endzone by himself. So the colts offense as a whole is the best its ever been, but still aggravates me that Mannings record will inevitably be shattered by the end of this season

Graxall
10-16-2007, 10:56 AM
Brady isnt pacing to beat the TD record first of all. Hes pacing to do like 43-45. But its ok

2nd the only reason i think the colts might lose is because right now Addai and Harrison have been out for 2-3 weeks. They will be back this upcomming week, but they are only going to play 2 games before they go up against the pats. So its gonna be rough.

NE will lose a game at the end of the season when they have things wrapped up and sit their players.

With the utter sh1tbagness of the AFC East, Pats will have this division wrapped up in 3 or 4 weeks. Then they can play for home field for the next 2-3 weeks then sit their starters the whole last month probably!

Yea and to add to that, week 17, pats giants, am giants will prolly be fighting for the wild card spot and need a win. So in reality i should cheer for the pats even tho i hate them almost as much as the Bears. Who got wtfpwned by AP sunday night

Why would you root on the Pats against the Giants?

BTW that reminds me you'd probally know the answer to this. Think it was last week when the Jets played the Giants at home. How dows that work? How do the Giants have homefield advantage when both teams play in the same stadium? Wouldn't there be just as many Jets fans as Giants fans?

Brady is on pace for 56 touchdowns this year. He's averaging 3.5 touchdowns a game. He just needs to average over 3.06 touchdowns a game to pass Manning.

Not that I care about any record other than being the first 19-0 team. Brady needs a pinkie ring!! :)

Realistically I don't think 19-0 will ever happen. If any team should of done it, the 2005 colts. That was Dungy's mistake though, sitting the starters after HFA was estabilished at 13-0, and ulitmatly the shift in momentum that decided there fate in the playoffs. I understand the risk of injuries, but i don't really ever think its time to sit the starters. IF anything for momentum. The Colts looked half asleep during the game against the steelers in 2005, after a nearly a month off. If you ask me last year the Colts won the superbowl, merely because their losses forced them to play every single game going into the playoffs to secure a good playoff spot.

Now as for New England, I don't think they'll rest their starters unless its the last game of the season, and if they are unbeaten at the time, they might go 15-1. But I already do see some weaknesses, more than anything, from what I've seen they are a one-deminsional passing team with virtually no running game. Granted its realy hard to stop his passing attack when he has so many options, I do think that will eventually get to new england if they don't improve.

Grreen99GT
10-17-2007, 04:47 PM
well the reason they don't have a running game right now is because maroney is out with an injury and morris was injured last week. it is only when they have both in good health when the patriots have a run game. so as they start getting healthier i am sure we will see their run game progress and not be so 1 dimensional

I'm from Indianapolis. I live in Indianapolis. I was born in Indianapolis. I was 5 years old when the Colts came to town. So guess what team I root for? Go crawl back in your dumpster

Anyway looking foward to November 5th. Hopefully the Colts prove New England's not as tough as they look. I can only hope. As for now, tough game in Jacksonville this upcoming monday night.

its just my mentality. Way back I didn't used to be that way, like when I was 12 or 13, (i didn't care much for football then at all) Orlando Magic was my favorite team because I was a big Shaq fan back then (not anymore), and i always rooted for them over the pacers. But I got older and just naturally rooted on the Pacers and Colts.

Course I don't know about the Pacers anymore. Just being a crap team is one thing, but those guys are just a bunch of thugs and criminals! Hard to root on a team that spends more time behind bars than in practice!

Whats weird in Indy is the people that aren't colts fans are Bronchos fans...don't ask me why. They aren't from Denver either, but they hate the colts, and love Mike Shanahan, and always whine when he doesn't win coach of the year, etc.

Steelers have #1 D, Baltimore #2, and the Colts had #4. However, baltimore isnt playing as well as they should be, and Pittsburgh has off days too frequently to predict what will happen....

Should be some good games to watch. I still dont see NE going undefeated.

YEah lets not go talking like the Giants didn't fight or anything. They put up a hell of a fight in a game that other than the pats going for undefeated status, didn't matter to either team. There D hit hard, their offense looked more like Peyton's offense, than Eli's offense. They lost by one field goal, and they held the lead until the 4th quarter. Props to the pats for being able to fight back and win the game, but Graxall's prediction was still a good pick.
