i just think the front is a little weird...if they would make the split port grill a little smaller and and narrower, then it'd look better. that, and add a little space in between like the current gt's have, and i think it'd be successful. I have to say, without the front, the rest of the car looks beautiful ;)

Dammit, I like it and if they don't add wheel gap, keep the flowing design, keep the price cheap, give it good handling, some nice power, and a nice interior, there might be some jealous Beamer owners out there.

wheres the mean look in the rear?

things id expect gm to do if thus car DOES make it to production,,, the wheels wont be that wide apart. fender flares might still be there but the wheels wont fill them that way. also with that wheel gap, suspention travel is like nothing, so expect that too. possibly a higher roofline, but i think from a visibility stand point its pretty good, so maybe not. hum, other than that, to me, it looks damn near production ready. does anyone remeber the Pontiac GXP (i think) concept in 1996 that showed almost exactly what the 1997 GTP's looked like? Almost the same identical car. the show car had a wider stance, more power, ram air hood and some inside stuff, but other than that we were looking at the 1997 Grand Prix. MAYBE we are looking at the 2005 Grand Am! I personlly think it looks great, but i to think the grill should be alittle smaller.

why does the rear tailz remind me of a kia? It looks good for a concept i guess but it needs a more striking look to me.

Im thinking it is very possible the next grand am will resemble this car. Im pretty sure ive heard the G6 is front wheel drive, it has the same engine we have all heard and expect will show up in the next grand am, it seems to be bigger than the current grand am like they say it will be (a la altima) and to my knowledge the next grand prix is supossed to be rear wheel drive. I just feel this car looks to prduction ready to go the way side of some other totally different design when the design will work perfectly for a car that is supposed to be introduce in the next year and a half or 2 years. This is it guys. Im almost certain.

But where is the coupe???wtf
Seems like there will not be one. The G6 Concept packs a 270HP SC'ed 3.5L .... that power is drained by the AWD system though. This will limit severly the acceleration of the car.
It has features that look very similar to the Honda Accord Coupe, and even the TL. But I think it looks quite different and more muscular than any other iteration GAGT... except maybe my own.;)
With that AWD the power:wieght is gunna be poor. I would peg the 0-60MPH still in the 7 second range. With AWD it is basically a wannabe crossover, give me rwd!!! Or at least fwd and then the quarter would be closer to the magic 6 second mark.

I believe they said it will be in AWD and FWD configurations...AWD+boost cars are notorious for nice 0-60 times, so I would say it could peg 5's in the 0-60...where did you get 7's?????? I mean an Accord v6, with no low end, quite a bit of weight, and FWD can hit mid 6's and so can an altima N/A. With the boost + manual + AWD, I'd say you could peg mid to high 5's with it, and if not, maybe you could after a pulley upgrade. I think the AWD system will add weight, but by then the materials will be somewhat lighter I think. I'd project a 3500 lb car there (maybe less, current GA = 3100, minus maybe 100 lbs of lighter weight materials + AWD stuff <200-300 lbs I think> and extra supercharger weight), and Altimas hit mid 6's with no boost and FWD, and similar weight.

Ron... the 2004 Grand Prix is still front wheel drive i believe... GM kept the car on the W-Platform for this redesign... they had originally intended to move the car to the new Sigma platform, which hosts the upcoming Cadillac STS...

Right. When i said the "next grand prix" i meant the next all new grand prix. the 2004 is basicly the same car as the 97 and up with some suspension differences and new sheetmetal. all the "black metal" is the same. it has been said the next all new grand prix will be a rear driver and possibly V8 powered. if this is the case, why would Pontiac make a near-production looking concept (in comparison to the Ragious and other,,,outragious concepts) with a front drive layout with the all new V6 under the hood they say will power the next grand am? It is my personal beleife they are gauging customer responce with this car to see if it is fit enough to be the next grand am, or maybe just a sneak peak.
Spoon, am i any where close in my logic?

NOOOOO. Say it isn’t true! When I image what the perfect looking GA would look like, that's defiantly not it. Very plain looking, looks like an intrepid and every other car our there. They front is just plain ugly with those giant mesh nostrils. The whole front is just wrong!!! The rear isn’t noting special either. The exhaust sucks ass... wait blows ass. Where's our ground effects, ram air hood, clear tails, spoiler and shiny exhaust tips!!! Doesn't anyone with any influence at GM read forums? This is not what we have been asking for. Only a few thousand members here I believe, but we represent a 100 times that!!! I could list 10 or more cars I’d buy B4 that GA.
Don't do it please!!!

Don't do it please!!! Spoken like a true consumer. "Ain't America GREAT"! The only place in the world where so little can be said for so many, with such little eloquence.;)
All kidding aside, difference is what makes the world go 'round. There are a vast majority of people who would not like the things that you or for that matter I might like. Of the # of cars sold every year the people on this Forum are a "very" small number. And although you may not think so, there are people at GM who share some of your sentiment.

I still like it and I think many others will too. If anything, people (like you) will not be used to GM producing something that looks so refined without the changing lines all over the place and without body cladding and all the other crap that they add on to cars now.
I mean it seems like all of the crap that GM adds to the car are just removed or changed anyway because most people don't like the way it looks, so mods are in order to fix it...well these cars might not need as many mods as many on this site want, so they see it as a way for everyone to be on their level maybe, and that causes resentment?? I think that is your problem 420 (notice that every problem you mentioned is an aftermarket thing anyway, or at least a non common dealer option), you are so used to having to say you want this and that with the current one to make it look better, and that stuff isn't needed for the G6. I really can't see what is wrong with the car exept the interior color.
I think they finally took the cue: "keep it simple stupid." That is how others succeed, and that is what GM will have to do to succeed.
