Well, my KX600.1 finally gave out, so I'm looking for a new amp to push my 2 Kicker CVR 12's (dual 2 ohm coils). What do you guys suggest? Thanks!

^400 watts. I pushed those with an amp rated at 1200 RMS @ 1 ohm (I used the DVC 4 ohm models) and had no problem. Granted I wasn't getting a true 1200 watts RMS but I'm just letting you know it seems like they can handle the power well.

sx 1250.1 kicker will do you just fine. It has a digital led and has more control and features to tune the subs. I have one. You wont be disappointed at all. Also , if you spend the money for it you can get teh led digital remote and tune from the front seat of the car, instead of going back and forth.
You wont be sorry with that amp. Thats what im using to push my 2 L7 subs.

That remote is the best idea. Going back and forth sucks ass. lol

Yup 4 memory preset setting. I can go from rap to rock and not have to worry about tunning. Just hit a button and wala.

What about a PowerBass ASA 1000D? Anyone ever heard of them?

The best you'd be able to get out of that would be 500 rms @ 2 ohms though. Maybe look at the ASA 1500.1 which puts out 750 @ 2 ohms.

According to Kicker.com, my cvr's can be wired down to a 1 ohm load if they are wired in parallel.

How so? It looks like it will only give me 250 watts per sub.

all of rockford power series amps are way under rated. I have my t5002 powering two diamond audio d6 subs. Trust me on this one. I work in a custom audio shop. This series of amps is WAYYYY under rated

i dont understand something. if an amp takes a sh*t on yuo for no reason why would you buy anther one? it seems your just setting yourself up for trouble. i have had 2 kicker amps poop out on me, for no reason. hell one worked when i put it in my basement, and i take it out and the d*mn thing wont even turn on.
so needless to say i dont recomend a kicker amp. i'm going to recomend a Audison amp. is it expensive? yes. is it on sale for about 1/2 off? yes. is it still expensive? yes. will it last forever, and sound awesome? you bet your ass.

Thanks, I'll take a look at them. I've pretty much decided that I'm going to stay away from Kicker amps from now on.

Nah man, two dual 4 ohm subs in parallel = 1 ohm. ONE dual 2 ohm in parallel = 1 ohm. The best you can get is 2 ohms wiring the voice coils in series.
