Should be interesting in how these Sell. Corolla looks like a Big Brother of the Yaris. Matrix reminds me of a Mazda 3/WRX wagon..

Nice thing is All-Wheel Drive will be a option on the Matrix.. Why not Both?

Probably not cost effective for that entry level car... think, only Subies and Mercedes and Caddies are the only real players on the table with AWD in their sedans.

I actually think the Corolla looks more like the Mazda 6, I can't believe Im saying this, but I like the look of it. However, it has no balls under the hood with its whiney little 4 banger....

I see a lot of the old cars when I look at the new ones. I was expecting more of a change. I'm sure that the Corolla will sell well based on name alone.

The Current and the 09 Corolla have alot in common.. Is it me or does the Tail lights looks like the Current one's?

It hard to see a differance in the Current and the 09 Corolla..

I'd still take a Mazda 3 over both of these.

I can’t believe I’m saying it either, but I like the look of these in person. I’ve been working with Toyota and they have been retooling the line for awhile now. When I first saw these, I couldn’t believe how much they have changed and I like how they have removed/shrunk the matrix's third window to a small sliver. The matrix even has a set of rims available that really make it stand out. As for the lack of horsepower, I remember hearing a rumor that they designed the engine compartment for the 270 hp engine from the Camry but I don’t think that would ever happen. Although a 270 hp 4 wheel drive Corolla would be interesting...
