**Here is to opening a can of worms*** lol
Best tires for what ?
I would say one of the best, to have in about a month's time or so... ;)
Nokian Hakkapeliitta RSi winter tires (http://www.nokiantires.com/en/tire_hakkarsi.aspx?season=winter)

& for the other 3-seasons:
Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Bridgestone&tireModel=Potenza+RE960AS+Pole+Position&partnum=25WR6RE960PP&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes&place=10&speed_rating=V&speed_rating=Z&speed_rating=W&speed_rating=Y&speed_rating=(Y)) tires

Other 3-season tires I would consider...
Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Eagle+F1+All+Season&partnum=25YR6F1AS&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes&place=4&speed_rating=H&speed_rating=V&speed_rating=Z&speed_rating=W&speed_rating=Y&speed_rating=(Y)) tires

Goodyear Assurance TripleTred (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Goodyear&tireModel=Assurance+TripleTred&vehicleSearch=false&partnum=25HR6ATT&fromCompare1=yes&place=5&speed_rating=H&speed_rating=V&speed_rating=Z&speed_rating=W&speed_rating=Y&speed_rating=(Y)) tires
http://www.tirerack.com/images/tires/goodyear/gy_assurance_triple_ci2_l.jpg
Nokian WR All-Weather Plus (http://www.nokiantires.com/en/tire_wr.aspx?season=winter) tires <- This one can also be used as a mild winter tire.

What do you want out of tire, strict dry performance, all season performance, snow performance, long wear, etc. Also, what is your budget?

those Tripple Threads from Goodyear are very hard to beat. there the best tire i've ever had. and with a 80,000 mile warrenty, if you buy from Discount Tire, they might outlast your car.
Triple threads are expensive, for very little more get the F1 A/S
So far I have no complaints about them and got rain and snow in the same day with them

Off topic, but nice ride Devo... we should race. Gotta rep the 86 Camaro's...
